“The Primary Mission of COVA is to provide Emergency Medical Service, 24 a day, Seven days a week, to the resident of the district and surrounding districts. COVA provides ALS and strives to provide high quality patient care.”

We are a combination Volunteer/Paid nonprofit organization that has been serving the Central Orleans Community with Emergency Medical Service since 1979. Our “official” name is Central Orleans Volunteer Ambulance, Inc., but we usually just go by “COVA.”

We provide Advanced and Basic Life support to the Village of Albion, Towns of Albion, Barre, Carlton, and Gaines. We also help out in other communities when we are asked for mutual aid, which include Medina, Hulberton, and Elba.

Emergency Medical Services is a very important service in our community and to keep us going we accept donations along with health insurance billing.

We offer classes like CPR and First Aid to the community and we also sponsor an EMT-Basic class annually. To learn more about these opportunities please click here.
