Central Orleans Volunteer Ambulance (COVA) was established in 1979. The organization has grown ever since. First, welcome to COVA's new and improved website. It is a work in progress with many things planned for it so please stop back often as we build it. We currently provide Basic Life Support (BLS), Intermediate Life Support (ILS) and also Advanced Life Support (ALS). In order to meet the community needs we have on staff Drivers, EMT-Basic, AEMT-Intermediate, and AEMT-Paramedics. Every member maintains at least the basic amount of yearly training while many will advance their training to help better meet the needs of the community. We are also involved in providing training not only for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) but also for the local community. This training can be in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resusitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillators (AED's). Venturers (Explorers) are also a part of COVA which allows children between the ages of 14 - 21 to be a part of the Emergency Medical Services. Our fleet can be seen above.
